Larry Sumrall & Jackie Sumrall, Founders

Larry Sumrall graduated from Mississippi State University in 1969 with a degree in Construction Engineering Technology.  A native of the Laurel area, he worked in construction supply until 1970 when he established his contracting firm. Initially the company was established to be a commercial general contractor, but later expanded into industrial applications.  Larry is active in his community of Laurel and Jones County, and in the construction industry.  His involvement stems from his belief that he should give back to an industry and a community that has been so good to him and his family.  Because of Larry's commitment to quality construction, work ethics and customer service, the company continues its successful growth.

Sean Sumrall, President

Sean Sumrall graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering Degree in May 1992.  Upon graduation, Sean began his career here as an estimator and project manager.  After years of dedicated training and work experience in this position, Sean became president of the company in 2007.   Through his leadership as president, the company has continued to follow the principals the company was established on to a quality project with excellent customer service for all of our clients.

Beverly Carlat, Office Manager and Safety Director

Beverly Carlat graduated from JCJC in 1985 with a degree in Systems Analysis.  She began working with the company in 2002.  She currently oversees all accounting processes and safety management for our company.  Beverly promotes the philosophy of "RFT" (Right the First Time) throughout all levels of the company.        

 


Jonathan McRee, Estimator/Project Manager

Jonathan McRee has 15 years experience in construction and 10 years experience in estimating and project management.  He began working for the company as a Project Superintendent in 2005 and was quickly promoted to an Estimator/Project Manager position in 2006.  Jonathan utilizes the "teamwork" philosophy to engage the A/E, client, and employees to make his building projects successful.

Beth Allen, Office Assistant

Beth began with our company in 2015 after 23 years in the oilfield industry.  She brings her many years of experience in cost accounting and general office procedures to keep our office flowing smoothly.  She is also responsible for Accounts Payable, Customer Relations and Payroll.

Royce Blackledge, Project Superintendent

Royce graduated from Mississippi State University  with a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction Science in December 2007.  He worked as an intern in the field during the summer months while attending MSU.  He began working with our company full time in March 2008 and has successfully completed numerous projects of various sizes and scopes.  Royce is our fast-track superintendent, completing large, very time-restricted projects successfully.  He has specialized training or certifications in CPR and First Aid, OSHA 10-Hour Safety Course, safety training courses on various topics and training on MS Department of Environment Quality Storm Water Pollution Prevention.

Kerry Walters, Project Superintendent

– Kerry has worked for us since 2000 and has successfully completed numerous projects of various size, scope and complexities.  He has specialized training or certifications in CPR and First Aid, OSHA 10-Hour Safety Course, safety training courses on various topics, training on MS Department of Environment Quality  Storm Water Pollution Prevention and a Certified Forklift Trainer.
